First starting in Mafia Wars on Facebook can be quite confusing with a few stats that you have to juggle with. This guide will walk you through all the common in’s and out’s that will matter throughout your game play. This guide will be clear and simple to understand so you can start playing right away.
Health
Health is used in boss fights throughout jobs and fights against other players. It is a secondary stats to add because you could recover your health in full with hospital. The limitation of hospital is that you can only recover health every 45 seconds.
Your character can die when you reach 0 HP or “iced” when your HP goes under 20 when being attacked. When you die due to enemy attacks, you lose a little bit of EXP. However, when you get “iced” you are protected from additional enemy attack.
You should only boost your health at later game. You do not need more health unless you typically burn through your health points through fighting. Only add health when the 45 seconds hospital rule cannot really serve you anymore.
Attack
Your mafia’s personal attack is important. It is used in boss fights damage calculation, fights (attack) against other players, robberies, and lastly tournaments in Las Vegas. In all the fights against other players, it acts as a hidden bonus when calculating who wins or loses.
Consider pumping some skill points into attack if you attack often. By boosting your attack, you have better chance at winning fights and tournaments which means better leveling speed.
Defense
I personally consider defense power as secondary in Mafia Wars. Typically if you play often and have lots of mafia members, you are less likely to get attacked by other players. Defense is only useful when you are defending against enemy attacks and robberies. But if you do not get attacked often, defense is essentially a useless stats.
Defense may become more useful at late game when you want to level up through hitlist riding.
Energy
The stats needed to do jobs in Mafia Wars. Energy is a very important stats that it is used in jobs and missions. The energy is directly tied to leveling and the majority of the loots getting. By having big amount of energy, you can ensure that your leveling will not be interrupted. When you are starting in game, energy should be one of the stats that you focus on.
Stamina
The stats needed to attack other players or most of the boss fights in Mafia wars. Occasionally you would have fight jobs such as in Las Vegas where you use stamina to complete jobs. You should always aim for good chunk of stamina along with a healthy number of energy. You goal is to continously level without having to wait too long for the energy or stamina time tick.
EXP points
This stat is straight forward such that you would gain the next level when you reach the full bar of EXP points.
Achievement
You could complete achievements when you reach a certain requirements in game. When you do, you are rewarded with one additional skill point.
Mafia
This stats is a combination of “hired guns” and the number of Mafia that you have in your group. This stats is essential because your attack is hugely based upon the number of mafias that can utilize your inventory. This is why you should get as many as mafia friends you can at Mafia Wars. Not only do you get more gifts and social feeds, you also get a huge boost in your attack and defense ability against other players.
In addition, the mafia number is required when you attend tournaments in Las Vegas. There are a couple of tiers which require you to have the sufficient numbers of mafia members.
Mafia Attack
This stats is purely based on your gears. Your top gears attack value based upon your mafia member up to 501 are added to create this value. The gears include weapon, armor, vehicle, and animal. For example, if you have 200 mafia members, then your top 200 gears will be added to calculate your mafia attack.
Mafia Defense
This stats is purely based on your gears. Your top gears defense value based upon your mafia member up to 501 are added to create this value. The gears include weapon, armor, vehicle, and animal. For example, if you have 200 mafia members, then your top 200 gears will be added to calculate your mafia defense.
